Request For Information (RFI) on Biomarkers for the Acute-to-Chronic Pain Transition 


The NIH Common Fund Acute to Chronic Pain Signature (A2CPS) program is seeking input on biomarkers that may predict the transition from acute to chronic pain or resilience to chronic pain. Potential candidates could include, but are not limited to:
  • Electronic health record information
  • Patient-reported outcomes
  • Psychosocial factors
  • Imaging features
  • Sensory tests
  • Actinography for sleep, circadian rhythms, and locomotor activity
  • Molecules that can be obtained from blood, serum, or other body fluids
  • Genetic variants.
Responses will be accepted through June 1.
