Dr. Brian Walitt Named Acting Clinical Director, NCCIH Intramural Program
Brian Walitt, M.D., M.P.H., has joined NCCIH as Acting Clinical Director for our Intramural Research Program. Dr. Walitt brings a wealth of experience to the NCCIH intramural team. He is internationally known for his clinical and research work with fibromyalgia patients, and is the lead associate investigator on the NIH Myalgic Encephalitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome protocol. Dr. Walitt also holds the position of Medical Officer at both NINR and NIDCR, and is an Associate Research Physician at NIH.

Save the Date! NCCIH 20th Anniversary Symposium
On Monday, September 23, 2019, NCCIH will host a 1-day research symposium to celebrate the Center’s 20th anniversary. This event will celebrate progress in complementary and integrative health research and look to the future of the field. The day will feature a Straus Distinguished Lecture by Dr. Lorimer Moseley of the University of South Australia, lightning round presentations with early-stage investigators, and two panel discussions on pain research in military and veteran populations as well as the future of natural products research.
