New Publication: Impact of Testosterone Assay Standardization Efforts Assessed via Accuracy-Based Proficiency Testing

Clinical Biochemistry recently published an article co-authored by Division of Laboratory Systems scientist, Dr. Rex Astles. In this article, the analytical performance of testosterone assays were re-evaluated using accuracy-based proficiency testing (PT) to assess the effectiveness of CDC efforts toward standardization. An important takeaway for laboratory professionals to consider is using commutable samples with some regularity and not ordinary PT in order to see changes in testing over time.
