To enable authors and editors to publish the best research and to promote wider access to research data and other materials that support publications, our parent company Springer Nature has partnered with Figshare.
Articles published in over 300 BioMed Central and SpringerOpen journals can now show a widget for previewing and browsing additional files, enabling readers to see this enhanced content in line with the article in the same browser window. Iain Hrynaszkiewicz, Head of Data Publishing at Springer Nature, explains this in more detail in his blog.
