Submit Nominations for the Council that Advises the HHS Secretary on Antibiotic Resistance
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is accepting nominations for appointment to the Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (Advisory Council). Due at the end of June, nominations of qualified individuals who represent organizations, including self-nominations, will be considered for appointment as non-voting liaison representative members of the Advisory Council.
Visit the Advisory Council’s website for detailed information on nomination and submission requirements. Electronic applications are strongly encouraged. Nominations must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. ET on June 30, 2017.
About the Advisory Council
The Advisory Council, also known as PACCARB, provides advice, information, and recommendations to the HHS Secretary regarding programs and policies conducted by the U.S. government related to combating antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
The membership consists of 15 voting members, including the Chair and Vice Chair, and 15 non-voting members: five liaison representative members and ten federal ex-officio members.
This announcement is to solicit nominations to fill positions that are scheduled to be vacated during the 2017 calendar year in the non-voting liaison representative member category for a two-year term. Every effort will be made to ensure that the Advisory Council is a diverse group of individuals with representation from various geographic locations, racial and ethnic minorities, all genders, and persons living with disabilities.
