NEW Resources for Updated TB Screening, Testing and Treatment Recommendations for
U.S. Health Care Personnel
On May 17, 2019, the CDC Division of Tuberculosis Elimination and the National Tuberculosis Controller’s Association published “Tuberculosis Screening, Testing, and Treatment of U.S. Health-Care Personnel: Recommendations from the National Tuberculosis Controllers Association and CDC, 2019” in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
New resources from CDC and Medscape are now available for health care personnel, public health professionals, and other partners:
- FREE Continuing Education Activity from MMWR and Medscape for the following:
- Physicians - maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™
- ABIM Diplomates - maximum of 0.50 ABIM MOC points
- Nurses - 0.50 ANCC Contact Hour(s) (0.5 contact hours are in the area of pharmacology)
- Pharmacists - 0.50 Knowledge-based ACPE (0.050 CEUs) - Medscape Expert Commentary video featuring CDC’s Dr. Sapna Bamrah Morris
