“Do you know about sepsis?”
New posters encourage patients and families to know the risks and spot the signs.
New Get Ahead of Sepsis posters encourage patients and families to get immediate medical help if they suspect sepsis.
Sepsis is the body’s extreme response to an infection, including those caused by drug-resistant bacteria. It is life-threatening, and without timely treatment, sepsis can rapidly lead to tissue damage, organ failure, and death.
The posters feature friends and family members talking about the risks, signs, and the need to act fast if sepsis is suspected.
Download and share these new posters to continue the conversation about infection prevention and sepsis recognition.
Also be sure to check out the sepsis conversation starter, which helps patients talk to their doctors and nurses about sepsis and infection prevention. Download and distribute other Get Ahead of Sepsis educational materials for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
