Thinking of trying a complementary health approach to help you quit smoking? Several mind and body practices, including meditation-based therapies, yoga, and guided imagery (a relaxation technique) may help reduce cigarette use and cravings, studies suggest. But dietary supplements, acupuncture, and hypnosis don’t appear to work. Conventional quit-smoking treatments, including counseling and medication, can double or triple the chances you will kick the habit successfully.
