NIH Continues its Commitment to Asthma Research
May is Asthma Awareness Month, and the National Institutes of Health reaffirms its commitment to asthma research, from basic science to clinical trials. NIAID; the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences; and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute are the three main NIH institutes that conduct and support asthma research. Each focuses on a particular area of asthma research, all with the common goal of developing effective strategies to manage and prevent the disease.
