February 7 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in the United States, blacks/African Americans account for a higher proportion of new HIV diagnoses and people living with HIV, compared to other races/ethnicities.

National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is an annual opportunity to help increase awareness about HIV among African Americans by promoting HIV prevention, testing, and treatment. To learn more, visit the AIDSinfo National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day webpage [en español].
