The popularity of vitamin D has been surging in recent years, largely because of the growing list of its proposed health benefits. While all the claims are not backed by evidence, we do know that getting enough vitamin D is essential for maintaining strong, healthy bones. A recent study tried to determine if high doses of vitamin D could improve physical function and prevent falls in older adults.
