Thursday Health.mil News Round-Up: TRICARE Patients Must Attest to Health Care Coverage; Webinar to Highlight the Operation Live Well Initiative; ASIST Gives Sailors a Helping Hand in Suicide Prevention

As tax season begins, Defense Department officials want to remind TRICARE beneficiaries of changes in the tax laws, which require all Americans to have health care insurance or potentially pay a tax penalty.

To help increase awareness about Operation Live Well, an initiative that provides a set of resources which you can use to adopt or maintain a healthy lifestyle, the Military Health System and Military OneSource will co-host a webinar on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, noon to 1:00 p.m. EST.

Twenty-eight Sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) completed a two-day Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop hosted by the command religious ministries department (CRMD), Jan. 13.
