Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report

According to CDC’s latest FluView report (Jan 19 - 25), national levels of flu-like illness remain high and are expected to remain elevated for weeks to come. CDC estimates that so far this season, there have been at least 19 million flu illnesses, 180,000 hospitalizations and 10,000 deaths from flu. The flu A and B viruses circulating this season can cause severe illness in both children and adults.
