Public Comment on Draft Recommendation Statement and Draft Evidence Review: Screening for Autism Spectrum Disorder in Young Children

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force posted today a draft recommendation statement and draft evidence review on screening for autism spectrum disorder in young children. Both are available for review and public comment from August 4 through August 31, 2015. In addition to the posting of the draft materials, the Task Force has developed additional materials to help health care professionals, stakeholders, and the general public understand and communicate about this draft recommendation. These materials include a video that briefly summarizes the draft recommendation, answers to frequently asked questions, and a fact sheet that explains the draft recommendation in plain language.
