Researchers from the Wellcome Sanger Institute, University of Cambridge, University College London and their collaborators used DNA sequencing to map the mutations in normal esophagus tissue from esophageal cancer patients who had received either chemotherapy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, or no treatment before surgery.
