In this presentation of the NIOSH Total Worker Health Webinar Series, an expert panel of speakers will discuss the concept of nonstandard work arrangements. Covered topics include:
- the NIOSH perspective on what is considered a ‘nonstandard work arrangement’;
- health impacts of nonstandard work arrangements on worker safety and health; and
- potential interventions and solutions consistent with a TWH approach.
Together, these three presentations provide a complimentary overview of terminology, theory, available research data, obstacles, and potential solutions for addressing the challenges associated with nonstandard work arrangements. We hope you can join us!
Featured Presenters:
Rene Pana-Cryan, PhD is the Director of the Economic Research and Support Office in the NIOSH Office of the Director, and co-manages the new Healthy Work Design and Well-being Cross-Sector Program.
Sherry Baron, MD, MPH is an occupational physician and researcher and is a professor of Occupational and Environmental Health at the City University of New York, Barry Commoner Center for Health and the Environment.
Lisa Brosseau, ScD, CIH is a Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she directs the Illinois Education and Research Center and the Center for Healthy Work.
