Up to $55 Million Available in Grants To Prevent Prescription Drug/Opioid Overdose-Related Deaths

The purpose of this program is to reduce the number of prescription drug/opioid overdose-related deaths and adverse events among individuals 18 years of age and older by training first responders and other key community sectors.

Up to $94.8 Million Available in Cooperative Agreements for Tribal Behavioral Health

The purpose of this program is to prevent and reduce suicidal behavior and substance use, address trauma, and promote mental health among American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) young people up to and including age 24.

Up to $33 Million Available for SAMHSA Medication-Assisted Treatment Grants

The Targeted Capacity Expansion: Medication-Assisted Treatment-Prescription Drug Opioid Addiction (MAT-PDOA) program aims to provide funding to states to enhance/expand their treatment service systems to increase capacity and provide accessible, effective, comprehensive, coordinated care, and evidence-based medication-assisted treatment and recovery support services.

Up to $46.5 Million Available in Strategic Prevention Framework Grants

The program is designed to raise public awareness about the dangers of sharing medications without medical supervision in communities across the nation. The program also works with the medical community and the pharmaceutical industry to highlight the risks of overprescribing to young adults.
