In a new study, NIH-funded researchers identify a rare immune disorder, DOCK2 deficiency, in an international group of children. Three children were successfully treated with bone marrow transplants.
The findings contribute to our understanding of how a healthy immune system functions and may inform the study of more common immune system disorders and the body’s response to infection.
