Doctors at 78 European centers compared angioplasty that sends the catheter through an artery in the groin versus a newer method of using an artery in the wrist. Dr Krishna Tummalapalli at UPMC says recovery is much easier with the new method and she expects twice as many doctors to start doing it this way now that the Matrix trial results from Europe have been published.
