Educational Objectives:
Following this program, participants should be able to:
* Explain the historical evolution of allogeneic and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in the treatment of benign and malignant lymphohematopoietic disorders
* Summarize recent developments improving the outcomes for patients previously considered ineligible for allo and auto HSCT
* Describe the clinical course and complications of patients receiving allo and auto HSCT
Intended Audience:
This educational activity is designed to meet the needs of medical directors and other physicians, case managers, nurses, and other specialties within managed care organizations who work with cancer patients.
