Menopause is a normal stage of life. Symptoms are real, and treatments can help. Find current information here to help you when talking with your health care provider.
Today is the first day of National Women’s Blood Pressure Awareness Week (NWBPAW)! From October 18 to 24, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office on Women’s Health highlights priorities for supporting women’s heart health and encourages women to take charge of their blood pressure.
The 2026 theme, “Strong Hearts: Everyday Actions for Blood Pressure Control and Lifelong Health,” emphasizes making heart‑healthy habits part of everyday life. The theme highlights practical actions women can take to manage healthy blood pressure and protect their heart health while reinforcing the connection between blood pressure and chronic disease risk across the lifespan. It also highlights key life transitions, including pregnancy, the postpartum period, and perimenopause/menopause, when blood pressure can change.
