The menopausal transition can affect women's behavioral health, influencing mental health, substance use risk, treatment, and recovery. Yet menopause, substance use disorders (SUD), and co-occurring mental health conditions are often addressed separately, creating gaps in care for women in midlife.
This webinar will explore how menopause-related changes may affect substance use risk, resilience, treatment, and recovery. Presenters will discuss overlapping menopause, mental health, and substance use symptoms and identify opportunities to strengthen prevention, screening, treatment, recovery support services, and coordinated menopause-informed care.
The webinar will also feature a fireside chat grounded in lived experience and will conclude with an expert Q&A.
