More specifically, breast skin receiving more than 40 Gy over a volume exceeding 90 cc was associated with nearly 4-fold higher odds of breast lymphedema after breast-conserving therapy, and mammographic skin thickness increased significantly over time in patients with breast lymphedema compared with those without it.
