Join in CDC’s Campaign to Fight Flu!

The 2017-2018 flu season is just around the corner, which means it's time to get your annual flu vaccine. Today, September 28, 2017, marks the annual kickoff of the flu vaccination campaign led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID), and many other partners working together to protect people from flu.

#FightFlu this season by getting yourself and your loved ones vaccinated today! Here's how you can help spread the word.

1. Watch the kick-off of the 2017-2018 flu vaccination campaign. Tune in today, Sept. 28 at 10:00 a.m. ET to the press conference taking place in Washington, D.C. HHS Secretary Tom Price, MD will be the key note speaker and will be joined by CDC's influenza division director Dr. Dan Jernigan. Watch here!

2. Join the campaign by sharing messages on the importance of flu vaccination, preventive actions, and antiviral treatment. Resources, including social media and newsletter messages, and graphics are available in our digital campaign toolkit.

3. Sign up for the #FightFlu Thunderclap any time before September 28th, 10:30 AM.

4. Share how you plan to fight flu on social media with the hashtag #FightFlu, and encourage your followers to do the same. Original pictures or videos with #FightFlu may be featured on @CDCFlu's Twitter profile!
