Join us on Monday, October 17, at 10 a.m. ET for our Integrative Medicine Research Lecture Series featuring Roger Chou, M.D., of the Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Chou will discuss the use of opioids for chronic pain. The presentation reviews long-term data on opioid prescribing, evidence on benefits and harms of opioid therapies, and recently released guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on use of opioids for chronic pain. Dr. Chou is the lead author on a research review of opioids for chronic pain and an author of the CDC guidelines.

The talk will help you:

  • Understand risks and benefits of long-term opioid therapy for chronic pain
  • Identify recommendations for safer opioid use.
