Dear Friend,
Cognitive impairment -- disturbances in memory or thinking abilities -- can be a scary topic. Not everyone experiences this non-motor symptom of Parkinson's, though, and those who do have different degrees, ranging from subtle and barely detectable to mild to more significant.
The most recent "Ask the MD" video focuses on what types of cognitive changes can occur in Parkinson's, how they are evaluated and managed, and what research is ongoing in this area.
We hope the "Ask the MD" video and blog series is a valuable resource for you and your loved ones. Thanks for allowing us to be part of your journey with Parkinson's.
Best,
Rachel Dolhun, MD
P.S. Come and say hello if you're at the World Parkinson Congress in Portland! I'll be at The Michael J. Fox Foundation booth #407 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, September 21 and 22.
