CDC’S DRS. HADER AND MCCRAY DISCUSS DEVELOPMENTS FROM AIDS 2016

This morning, on the second full day of the International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2016) in Durban, South Africa, we had the chance to hear from Dr. Shannon Hader, Director of CDC’sDivision of Global AIDS and TB, and Dr. Eugene McCray, Director of CDC’s Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention during another Facebook Live event.
They reflected on what they’ve heard at the conference and shared some of the common approaches and priorities across U.S. and global HIV programs. These included monitoring progress along the continuum of HIV care, roll out of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), and a focus on young people.
