Community input is critical to the success of the National Cancer Moonshot Initiative. Indeed, the success of the initiative will depend on breaking down silos and encouraging everyone with an interest in fighting cancer to work together, share information, and collaborate on solutions.
NCI would like to hear from you—researchers, scientists, philanthropists, advocates, students, data scientists, and members of the public—anyone with a scientific idea or suggestion for addressing cancer research challenges.
Visit our online platform, Cancer Research Ideas, to submit your best scientific ideas for bringing about a decade’s worth of advances in 5 years, making more therapies available to more patients, and spurring progress in cancer prevention, treatment, and care. And while you're there, see what ideas others are sharing.
The Cancer Research Ideas platform will close on July 1.
NCI Acting Director Doug Lowy, M.D., speaks to the importance of community input for the success of the National Cancer Moonshot Initiative.
The NCI Blue Ribbon Panel will use the ideas, suggestions, and comments you provide to help shape discussions on the cancer research priorities to be supported by the Moonshot Initiative.
Here are other ways to make your voice heard:
  • Send an email message to cancerresearch@nih.gov.
  • Take part in social media events, such as Google Hangouts, to learn about the National Cancer Moonshot in general and the Blue Ribbon Panel specifically. Go to NCI’s social media events page for updates and subscribe to get email updates from NCI on the Moonshot Initiative.
  • Visit the NCI exhibit booths at the American Association for Cancer Research Annual Meeting (April 16-20) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting (June 3-7).
