Strategies for Preparing for TeamSTEPPS® Implementation in the Clinical and Educational Settings – Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
13 July, 2016 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm ET
This webinar will focus on key components of planning for TeamSTEPPS implementation for hospital staff and students/faculty at University of Florida (UF) Health in Gainesville, FL. The webinarwill feature Charles Crescioni, MS, RN, Senior Quality Improvement Specialist at UF Health, and Amy Blue, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Educational Affairs at the UF College of Public Health and Health Professions, and Associate Vice President for Interprofessional Education in the UF Health Office of the Senior Vice President for Health Affairs. Their presentation will highlight UF Health's process and strategies for preparing to implement TeamSTEPPS in two different settings: a large and expanding academic medical center and the university's six health professions colleges. They will discuss common and unique strategies for implementation planning across these two settings, as well as key components of the planning strategy for facilitating longer-term success. Specifically, the presentation objectives will be to:- Describe common and unique strategies and resources required for implementing TeamSTEPPS in a clinical and an educational setting;
- Share key components of effective planning regarding buy-in, resources, and measuring effectiveness; and
- Discuss the status of UF's efforts and planned next steps.
