On the second Tuesday of each month at 2–3 pm (ET), OSTLTS hosts a town hall teleconference about the topic of the latest CDC Vital Signs report. These monthly reports offer recent data and calls to action on important public health topics, and the teleconferences feature lessons learned and success stories from the state, tribal, local, or territorial perspective.
The town hall teleconferences were designed to provide a forum for our nation's health officials to broaden the conversation, build momentum, and carry out evidence-based, effective programs within the public health areas covered by Vital Signs. We hope the town halls are relevant and useful to you in your work to protect and improve the health of the public. We welcome your feedback at ostltsfeedback@cdc.gov.

Past Town Hall Teleconferences

Parents can play a key role in the treatment of Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Behavior therapy is an effective treatment that improves ADHD symptoms without the side effects of medicine. It is an important first step for young children with ADHD and most effective when delivered by parents. This teleconference featured a Vital Signs summary and discussion about treatment for young children with ADHD.

People receiving medical care can get serious infections called healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). These infections may lead to sepsis or death. Hospitals report common HAIs to CDC. This teleconference featured a Vital Signs summary and discussion about HAIs, antibiotic resistance, and a new CDC data tool.

Alcohol use during pregnancy can cause fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs), which are physical, behavioral, and intellectual disabilities that last a lifetime. This teleconference featured a Vital Signs summary and discussion about alcohol and pregnancy.
