It’s Never Too Early...To Prevent Diabetes
Women with a history of gestational diabetes, or diabetes that develops during pregnancy, have a 35 to 60 percent chance of developing diabetes—mostly type 2—in the next 10 to 20 years; and their children may have a greater chance of developing obesity and type 2 diabetes.
