GHR results now available from MedlinePlus Connect

Genetics Home Reference is partnering with MedlinePlus Connect, another service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), to share patient-friendly health information through patient portals and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Since 2010, MedlinePlus Connect has been providing results from MedlinePlus, an NLM health information resource for patients and their families and friends. With the new enhancement, the service now also includes results from GHR. This feature allows MedlinePlus Connect to provide more information about genetic conditions to its users.

As of October 2013, the new feature supports requests related to codes from SNOMED CT, a comprehensive, international clinical terminology. Starting in April 2014, the enhanced service also supports requests related to codes from the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM).
