September Spotlight: Emergency Preparedness
This
Spotlight features learning products and resources designed to help
educate the public health community on all-hazards approaches to
emergency preparedness and response. Below are a few of the learning
products provided this month:

Preparedness and Emergency Response Learning Centers (PERLC) are also
highlighted this month. These centers are available to meet preparedness
and response training and education needs of the U.S. public health
workforce.

Monthly Webinars on Designing Better Learning
The
Health Educators and Learning Professionals Community of Practice (HELP
CoP) is hosting monthly webinars on instructional design to assist you
in developing more effective learning. These webinars will take place on
the last Thursday of each month, August through November, from 3-4 p.m.
EST. The dates are August 30, September 27, October 25, November 29,
and December 20. Join the HELP CoP on phConnect
to see upcoming topics in this monthly learning series. Register for
upcoming webinars and other learning opportunities on CDC TRAIN.
During
the first year, CDC released over 4,700 courses; over 30,000 of you
have joined CDC TRAIN. Tell your colleagues about CDC TRAIN -- encourage
them to join and take advantage of free learning products offered
through CDC TRAIN. We look forward to another great year and will
continue to make improvements and add new courses to assist you with
your learning needs.

Did
you know that many articles in the MMWR (Morbidity and Mortality Weekly
Report) offer free CE? Locate articles that offer CE on CDC TRAIN’s Course Search tab and use MMWR as the keyword.
