August Spotlight: Travelers’ Health

CDC Learning Connection (CDC LC) highlights the August  Spotlight, Travelers’ Health.
This spotlight features products and resources to help the public health community understand more about the practice of travel medicine including those infectious diseases that commonly pose a risk to international travelers, such as malaria and dengue fever. Below are a few of the learning products provided this month:
  • CDC Commentary: Clues to Diagnosis in the Patient With Post-travel Illness Information on the three phases of pre-travel consultation
  • Yellow Fever Vaccine: Information for Health Care Providers Advising Travelers
    Provides comprehensive and up-to-date  information on the history and epidemiology of yellow fever, vaccine recommendations, the pre-travel consultation, and how to become a designated yellow fever vaccination provider
