NIAID Reflects on an Extremely Productive 2013
A new slideshow highlights notable scientific accomplishments made by NIAID laboratories and NIAID-funded institutions during fiscal year 2013. Some advances brought us closer to much-needed vaccines for HIV, malaria, and dengue fever, while others expanded our knowledge of newly emerging diseases such as H7N9 influenza and Middle East respiratory syndrome. All are representative of how public investment in biomedical research can advance science and benefit human health.
