This recommendation reaffirms the USPSTF's 2004 recommendation on Screening for Hepatitis B Virus with respect to pregnant women. Summary of Recommendation
The USPSTF recommends screening for hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in pregnant women at their first prenatal visit.
