National Women's Health Week 2026
Every May, beginning on Mother's Day, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office on Women's Health (OWH) leads National Women's Health Week (NWHW). This year, NWHW takes place from May 10-16. This observance aims to highlight women's health issues and priorities, and to encourage women of all ages to prioritize their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

The Vivian W. Pinn Symposium honors the first full-time Director of the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health (ORWH), Vivian W. Pinn, M.D, in recognition of National Women’s Health Week. In line with ORWH’s mission to put science to work for the health of women, this event serves as a critical forum for experts across sectors to communicate and collaborate for the advancement of women’s health.

This hybrid event will feature scientific panels, a poster session, and a keynote presentation, all exploring research on chronic conditions in women.
