Next Week: Watch Coverage of the 2020 (Virtual) International AIDS Conference
Next week, members of the HIV community from around the globe will gather virtually for the 23rd International AIDS Conference and, once again, HIV.gov and NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) are partnering to share highlights of the latest HIV research advances coming out of the conference.

Throughout the week, HIV.gov will help you stay abreast of some of the latest HIV research news via several video interviews with Dr. Carl Dieffenbach, Director of NIAID’s Division of AIDS. Follow HIV.gov on Facebook and/or Twitter to watch the interviews.

Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America: A Conversation at AIDS 2020
During AIDS 2020, HIV.gov will lead a satellite session, Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America: A Conversation on Monday, July 6th at 3:00pm ET. The session will be a conversation between government and community leaders involved with implementing EHE.

Conference registrants who join the conversation will be able to ask questions via chat for the last portion of the session.

HUD Awards More Than $35 Million to 31 Local HIV/AIDS Housing Programs
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) [on June 17] announced more than $35.8 million to assist more than 2,856 low-income persons living with HIV/AIDS and their families over a three-year period. The funding is offered through HUD’s Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program and will renew HUD's support of 31 local programs.

HHS Extends COVID-19 Testing Public-Private Partnership
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will extend its partnership with national pharmacy and grocery retail chains CVS, Rite-Aid, Walgreens, Quest (through services at Walmart) and eTrueNorth (through services at Kroger, Health Mart, and Walmart) so they may continue to seamlessly provide Americans convenient access to COVID-19 testing.

HHS Announces New Organ Transplant Guidance
[On Thursday, June 25, 2020], the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Public Health Service published an updated solid organ transplant guideline to assess donors and monitor recipients for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B virus, and hepatitis C virus infections.
