As communities and businesses are reopening, you may be looking for ways to resume some daily activities as safely as possible. While there is no way to ensure zero risk of infection, it is important to understand potential risks and how to adopt different types of prevention measures to protect yourself and to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: In settings like July 4th celebrations, beaches and pools, and busy restaurants where it is difficult to practice social distancing (keeping at least 6 feet apart from other people), your risk of getting and spreading COVID-19 increases. Learn what you can do to lessen the risk of exposure.
  • Stay home if sick.
  • Practice everyday preventive actions like washing hands often, and avoiding close contact with people who are sick.
  • Wear cloth face coverings  whenever you are less than 6 feet apart from other people or are indoors. Children under the age of 2 should not wear cloth face coverings.
  • Before you go, find out what preventative measures the venue has put in place to protect the public.
