Weekly U.S. Influenza Surveillance Report

According to CDC’s latest FluView report (Dec 29 – Jan 4), national levels of flu-like illness remain high and have been elevated for nine weeks, however hospitalization rates and the percent of deaths due to pneumonia and influenza remain low. It is too early to know whether the season has peaked or whether flu activity will continue to increase into January.
