New Breastfeeding Photos, ‘Move Your Way’ Materials Added to Media Center

Mother with children

In September, the DNPAO staff collaborated with volunteers from the Georgia Breastfeeding Coalition to produce diverse images of women breastfeeding or pumping in everyday settings. Thirteen of these royalty-free photos, such as the one at right, are available in the State and Community Health Media Center at no cost to nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

Also, Move Your Way physical activity campaign materials, including social media, are available. Users can add their organization’s logo for a small fee.

To access the photos and materials in the Media Center, use the search filters. Click Request this Ad/Material, log in, then complete and submit the request. Photos are immediately available to download. Email schmc@cdc.gov for help finding materials or placing an order.

Prevention modules

Obesity Prevention Modules Post for Early Childcare Educators
Healthy Kids, Healthy Future provides practical strategies for early childcare educators to promote healthy weight in young children. The on-demand modules offer background information on obesity prevention and best practice goals to increase physical activity, limit screen time, offer healthy beverages, serve healthy food, and support breastfeeding.

Each module provides two hours of professional development credit. Each module is also available in Spanish. The modules are free to access. If a certificate of completion is needed, the fee is $5. Penn State Extension Better Kid Care developed the six-part series in partnership with CDC/DNPAO staff.
