Be the next to present at this year’s Public Health Improvement Training (PHIT)! The National Network of Public Health Institutes is currently accepting abstracts for the 20th annual PHIT 2020, which will be held June 2–4, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas. Hosted in collaboration with CDC’s Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support and other partners, PHIT is a skills-based training experience, offering three days of interactive, hands-on sessions, intensive peer sharing and learning, and focused networking opportunities for public health professionals.
PHIT is seeking abstracts for 90-minute workshops that emphasize “how to” approaches and skill development. Abstracts should relate to this year’s theme—Optimizing Your Resources Through Performance Improvement—and address one or more of the following topics:
- Resource management (workforce development and financial management)
- PHAB accreditation or reaccreditation
- Community health assessment or health improvement planning
- Performance management
- Quality improvement
- Strategic planning
- Other strategic skills: systems thinking, change management, persuasive communication, data analytics, problem solving, diversity and inclusion, and policy engagement
