Symposium on Pain Across the Lifespan To Be Held May 30-31

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Pain Consortium will hold its 14th annual symposium on advances in pain research on May 30-31, 2019, on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland. “Pain Across the Lifespan” is this year’s topic. Researchers, health care providers, and the public are welcome to attend either in person or virtually.

Speakers at the symposium will include NCCIH Director Dr. Helene Langevin, who will introduce the junior investigator presentations at 1:30 p.m. on May 30, and NCCIH Lead Epidemiologist Dr. Richard Nahin, who will speak on pain prevalence in vulnerable populations at 2:25 p.m. on May 30.

The deadline to register for in-person or virtual attendance is May 23.
