Food Safety

Food Safety and Thermometers
At the start of each new year, it’s traditional to think about how to make it happier and healthier than the last. That’s why it’s the perfect time to encourage your audience to use food and refrigerator thermometers. Food thermometers are simple to use and the only way to make sure food is cooked to a safe internal temperature—hot enough to kill any bacteria. Similarly, appliance thermometers make sure refrigerator temperatures are kept at or below 40̊ F. Any warmer, dangerous bacteria can multiply rapidly. Use these resourcesto help your audiences take steps to eliminate foodborne illness from their lives this year!

Nutrition

Cosmetics

It’s easy to forget about cosmetics when making New Year’s resolutions. Here are a few ideas to share with your audience to help them make 2019 a little safer.
  1. Save your skin! It may be cold outside, but the sun is still strong. Encourage everyone to apply sunscreen to avoid a winter sunburn, especially if they use cosmetics with alpha hydroxy acids.
  2. Think before you ink! Tattoos are more popular than ever, but they are not without risk. Help your audience avoid a bad reaction and urge them to consider these key questions before they get a tattoo.
  3. Don’t share makeup! Swapping clothes and the latest gossip with friends is fun! But there are times when sharing is not caring, especially when it comes to eye makeup. Help your audience have a germ-free year with these tips for using eye cosmetics safely.
