“BluePrint” for Breast Cancer Diagnosis | Medical News and Health Information
For years, breast cancer doctors have relied on standard pathology tests to plan “one size fits all” treatment before surgery. Dr Mark Gittleman, MD, Director of Breast Services at Coordinated Health Network in Philadephia is now testing a new diagnostic tool called the “BluePrint” and 22 percent of the patients had their tumors reclassified. This new approach means life-saving therapy for some patients.
