AHRQ Health Care Innovations Exchange: May 20 Web Event

AHRQ Health Care Innovations

Join the AHRQ Health Care Innovations Exchange for a Web event titled

Patient- and Family-Centered Care for Adults with Chronic Condition

When: Tuesday, May 20, 2014, 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm ET
What does it mean to practice patient- and family-centered care? How does patient- and family-centered care improve the quality of health care services received by patients?
Join the AHRQ Health Care Innovations Exchange for an in-depth dialogue about how the principles of patient- and family-centered care have been put into practice. This event is the first of two Web events designed to describe patient- and family-centered care, share novel experiences, and explore lessons learned. Health care innovator Bernard Roberson will discuss how Georgia Regents Medical Center convened and engaged a patient and family advisory team in the quality improvement process and implemented low-cost changes that helped reduce medical errors, reduce staff turnover, and decrease hospital length of stay for adults with chronic conditions.
