The guidance has been updated to include the following:

• Removed language about cancelling and delaying non-urgent visits/elective procedures and aligned with CDC’s Framework for Healthcare Systems Providing Non-COVID-19 Clinical Care During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  
• Added recommendation to implement source control for everyone entering a healthcare facility, including healthcare personnel (HCP), patients, and visitors, regardless of symptoms.

Updated Outpatient and Ambulatory Care Settings: Responding to Community Transmission of COVID-19 in the United States.    

This guidance has been updated to include the following: 

• Removed language about cancelling and delaying non-urgent visits/elective procedures and aligned with CDC’s Framework for Healthcare Systems Providing Non-COVID-19 Clinical Care During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  
• Added recommendation to actively screen healthcare personnel (HCP), patients, and visitors for fever and symptoms of COVID-19 before they enter the healthcare facility.
  
• Added recommendation to implement source control for everyone entering a healthcare facility, including HCP, patients, and visitors, regardless of symptoms.
