June 27 is National HIV Testing Day
The HHS recognizes June 27 as National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) with the theme "Knowing." This theme focuses on knowing one's HIV status, recognizing new ways to take an HIV test, and knowing about treatment and prevention options such as PrEP. Please visit the OMH website for HIV/AIDS and PrEP resources. You can also share information about NHTD via the HHS Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Let's Stop HIV Together campaign and by highlighting their HIV Risk Reduction Tool. The CDC has also compiled information on HIV self-testing, a method of providing HIV diagnostic services in the time of COVID-19.
