Feeling Out Bacteria's Sense of Touch

Bacteria are single cells and lack a nervous system, but like us, they rely on their “sense” of touch to make decisions. Researchers are discovering how this sense of touch works and the implications it has for preventing the growth of hazardous bacterial colonies.
