New Cancer Moonshot Funding Opportunities and Pre-Application Webinars

National Cancer Instutute, mynci.cancer.gov

We invite you to submit applications for the two new funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) in support of the Patient Engagement and Cancer Genome Sequencing (PE-CGS) Network of the Cancer MoonshotSM. The overall purpose of the PE-CGS Network is to promote and support direct engagement of cancer patients and post-treatment cancer survivors as participants in cancer research. The Network will also use such approaches for rigorous cancer genome sequencing programs addressing important knowledge gaps in the genomic characterizations of tumors.
The NCI Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences will be hosting two pre-application webinars about these FOAs:
  • August 7, 2019, 1-2 p.m. ET: Introduction Webinar and Q&A (Register)
  • September 25, 2019, 1-2 p.m. ET: Frequently Asked Questions (Register)
Submit questions in advance to NCI_PE-CGS@mail.nih.govNote: While questions about the scope of the FOAs will be addressed during the webinar, questions about investigators’ specific study aims will not.
The two FOAs in support of this Network are:
  • Several U2C Research Centers (RFA-CA-19-045) centered on addressing unique research knowledge gaps in the genomic characterizations of tumors.
  • One U24 Coordinating Center (RFA-CA-19-046), which will facilitate trans-network collaborative activities.
To learn more including details on research interests, eligibility, budget, and how to apply, please visit each of the FOAs pages included above. Applications are due October 30, 2019, by 5:00 p.m. local time of the submitting institution.
